A six-class series offered in blended format (in person AND via Zoom) to help string players get started with theory studies. This class is suitable for children/youth and will cover all the concepts up to RCM Level Three theory. Concepts will be related back to your instrument whenever possible.

Classes will be recorded on Zoom so that if you miss a class, you can still watch the lesson. Fees include six one-hour classes plus marking of student work between classes. Students will need a 3-ring binder as well as a theory workbook (Celebrate Theory level one and/or two ... OR the Alfred Essentials of Music Theory (Complete)

June 27 - Laying the Foundations

July 5 - Level One and Two Intervals and Musical Terms

July 25 - Level One and Two Rhythm and Time Signatures

July 26 - Level One and Two Scales and Triads

August 9 - Level One and Two Key Signatures, Scales and MORE Rhythm

August 16 - Final Class will be REVIEW based on the needs of the group
