Weekly Classes
Weekly classes are divided into two terms that start in September and January. All class times listed are Pacific Standard Time (Vancouver BC).
Nanaimo's community string ensemble, Folk Band, is open to acoustic musicians of all ages playing violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, penny whistle, banjo, mandolin, and accordion. You should already know a few basic tunes along with some major scales and arpeggios. Music reading skills are helpful but not required.
Fiddelium is an auditioned string ensemble for advanced players aged 12 to 18 years. Strong reading skills are required, along with a passion for performing and a dedication to hard work and practice.
